The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2019 governorship election in Ogun State, Senator Buruji Kashamu is dead, The Gazelle News.com reports.
His sudden exit was announced on Facebook on Saturday, 8 August, 2020 by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce.
He confirmed that he died as a result of COVID19.
Senator Kashamu died at the First Cardiology Hospital, Lagos after he was rushed there about a week ago.
He represented Ogun East Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber in the 8th Naional Assembly between 2015 and 2019.
