36 Lion Football Club of Lagos, today, Monday, 10 May, 2021 concluded the signing of Waris Hundeyin from Team360 Football Club.
The youngster who joined Team360 football club from AJ United FC was part of the 30 man list of Nigeria U17 Golden Eaglet 2021 submitted to CAF.
The youngster who can play as a winger and striker has scored more than 20 goals since his arrival from the Eaglets’ camp.
36 Lion FC, Technical Director, Coach Akinshola Akinrele who as been scouting the young prolific scorer for over a year, expressed delight in securing the signature of the young star.
Coach Akinrele stated that now is the time to sign this wonder kid for further development has the potential of becoming a world class striker.
“With Waris, our third half delivery percentage will increase significantly, this clinical finisher will win more games for 36 Lion Football Club. It’s a guarantee that this new Lion No. 9 will top the list of goals scorers in Lagos State soon,” he said.
In his reaction, Hundeyin said 36 Lion FC is like a home coming for him, “I was born a Lion, I’m home with my family now, I am ready to score as many goals as I can here”.
On his part the Chairman of Team360 FC, Hamza Akeem Oladimeji revealed that “It’s a great news for us as a team and Waris joining 36 Lion FC, he has been very consistent with his performance, with 36 Lion FC, he will get the needed development and a bigger platform to achieve his dream of signing professional contract abroad”.
He disclosed that the player will continue his developmental program with 36 Lion FC until he his 18 years old before signing a professional contract.
However the healthy football relationship between the two clubs makes the transfer of the youngster very easy with proper terms clearly stated.
