The NYSC Director General Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim has admonished Corps Members not to allow their actions today haunt their tomorrow.
He said this while addressing corps members deployed to the FCT for the 2021 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Kubwa, on Wednesday, 2 June, 2021.
The Director General advised corps members to avoid taking actions that will tarnish their image during their service year to avoid repercussions in future.
He encouraged the corps members to shun religious and ethnic bigotry and embrace the unifying ethics of the NYSC for life.
Speaking further, the NYSC DG, enjoined the corps members to be of good conduct during their service year and beyond; adding that they should strive to imbibe the virtues of patriotism, commitment, diligence and discipline at all times.
He further urged them to be security conscious and avoid the negative use of the social media especially sharing fake news and other toxic information capable of creating disaffection in our Country, Nigeria.
The DG encouraged corps members to engage in Skill acquisition by participating in the NYSC SAED programme and urged them to aspire to be employers of labour, self-reliant and creators of wealth.
While appreciating the Federal Government for being proactive in the fight against COVID-19 and its concerned for the welfare of Coros members. He expressed delight in the fact that all FCT Corps members were complying to the protocols especially the use of face masks and social distancing.
The high point of the Director General’s visit was the flag off of the FCT Tree Planting Initiative at the Orientation Camp, Kubwa.
