The All Progressives Congress (APC) has insisted that its ward congresses will go ahead as planned on Saturday, 31 July, 2021, reports The Gazelle News.com.
The Secretary of the APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Senator James Akpanoudodehe, stated this on Thursday, 29 July, 2021 via a press statement.
According to the statement, the Supreme Court ruling on the governorship election of Ondo State has no bearing on the status of the APC CECPC.
According to the statement, opinions being expressed on the outcome of the Ondo election ruling are personal, hence, have no bearing on the status of the CECPC.
The statement stated further that Ward congress committees have been selected and inaugurated and given terms of reference for their duty.
The statement enjoined all party members to participate in the ward congresses by purchasing nomination forms.
