The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Royal Highness Oba Salihu Adetunji has been described as a great ruler, peace maker and custodian of values and culture.
The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare, gave this commendation on Thursday, 26 August, 2021 to celebrate the 93rd birthday of the reverred Monarch.
In a congratulatory messsage celebrating the monarch’s 93rd birthday, Dare said: “Congratulations to a great ruler, custodian of values and culture, His Royal Majesty Oba Salihu Adetunji on this special occasion of your 93rd birthday celebration. Your life is exemplary and your reign has brought prosperity, peace and harmony to your domain. I join millions of Oyo State Indigenes and well meaning Nigerians in celebrating you on this special occasion of your 93rd birthday.
“Under your reign, commerce, enterprise, community development have continued to thrive due to your strong business background. You have led by example, bringing peace, unity and prosperity to Ibadanland, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
“May your reign bring more prosperity and harmony to the people of Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria in general. Your life of exemplary leadership is a source of inspiration and worthy of emulation. I wish you many fruitful years on the throne”.
