Residents of Olorunda Community in Ado Ekiti have commended Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi for taking prompt and proactive measures in addressing the reconstruction of the collapsed bridge linking the area.
Residents of the community were left stranded last week after the bridge linking the community with other parts of Ado-Ekiti collapsed as a result of heavy downpour.
The development prevented workers, traders and other residents living in the area from going to their places of work and carrying out their social and economic activities.
Commending the Governor on behalf of the community , Pastor Omolola S.T. saluted the commitment of the Fayemi administration in the State to the welfare of all citizens and prayed that God should grant the Governor all his hearts desires and take him to the next level of greatness.
Pastor Omolola noted that despite the fact that the Governor was not in town when the incident occurred, added that the moment he was informed about it, he directed relevant ministry and agency to swing to action and reconstruction had since begun.
Pastor Omolola said: “Your Excellency sir, we appreciate your prompt intervention on our bridge, this means your administration is really committed to the well being of the citizens. We pray that God will grant your heart desires and take you to your next level in no distant time so that, collectively, we will celebrate your deserved success in Jesus Name.”
