A new group aimed at campaigning for the actualisation of the Presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been inaugurated, reports The Gazelle News.com.
Tagged AROMA, the acronym for the Arewa Movement for Asiwaju, it was set up to draw up support for the presidential dreams of the former Lagos State Governor particularly in the northern part of the country.
“Our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a pan-Nigerian and we have come to seek support for the actualisation of our collective desire to see him become President of Nigeria after the expiration of the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari,” Architect Kabir Ahmed, Convener of the group told The Gazelle News.com.
Architect Ahmed told this medium that members of the group have embarked on sensitisation moves across the country.
“Recently, we were in Kano and I was overwhelmed and positively surprised at the level of support and love the people have for Asiwaju. We were at the palace of the Emir of Kano and we were warmly received. All these are clear indications that we are on the right path,” Ahmed, Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure, told The Gazelle News.com.
On the entourage of AROMA’s team to Kano are: Princess Aderemi Adebowale, co-Convener of the group and Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Civic Engagement; and Idris Aregbe, Organising Youth Leader for APC in Lagos State.
