The senatorial aspiration of Rt. Hon Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni gathered momentum on Wednesday, 27 April, 2022 with the purchase of the expression and nomination forms by the aspirant at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abuja reports thegazellenews.com.
Eshinlokun-Sanni, currently the Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly is aspiring to represent the Lagos Central Senatorial District.
Thegazellenews.com gathered that the experienced Lawmaker purchased his forms on Wednesday and by this, put smiles on the faces of his teeming supporters who have been the ones persuading him to run.
Investigation by this medium, revealed that Eshinlokun-Sanni remains the most popular and most experienced of those aspiring to replace Senator Oluremi Tinubu at the Upper Legislative Chamber.
“He is an experienced grassroots politician who has been tested with many tasks and has always excelled,” Ademola Adesubomi, an APC member in Lagos Island told our correspondent.
Another member, Ms Toyin Thomas, described Eshinlokun-Sanni as a man of the people who is deep-rooted in the grassroots politics of not only the Lagos Central Senatorial District but also the entire state.
“We’re happy that he has agreed to run and we are also ready to work for him and ensure that not only did he win the party primaries but also the election proper,” Ms Thomas said.
