The Chief Executive Officer of Farm City Limited, Hon. Lanre Carew, has joined the race to represent Kosofe State Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2023 general election reports thegazellenews.com.
Carew, an experienced Agric-economist, is aspiring to pick the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and subsequently going on to win the election proper in 2023.
Carew announced his intention to contest after returning from a long vacation abroad.
He has been under intense pressure by his supporters to contest for the Kosofe Constituency 1 Lagos state House of Assembly seat.
The Farm-City boss had to step down as a House of Assembly aspirant in 2019.
Due to the party supremacy clause in 2021, he failed in his bid to become the local government chairman.
Lanre Carew’s supporters across the local government have since received the decision of their principal and preferred candidate’s decision to contest the Assembly seat with excitement and joy, saying this is “Carew o’clock.”
