National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Presidential Aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has submited his presidential nomination and expression of interest forms reports thegazellenews.com.
The forms were submitted on Wednesday, 11 May, 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja after the former Lagos State Governor has been endorsed and signed by 370 statutory delegates across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory as required by law.
Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal; Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu; Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Finance, Honourable James Abiodun Faleke; and former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu led other prominent party members and leaders to submit the forms on behalf of the presidential hopeful.
Among those who endorsed and signed the forms were 12 APC Governors and several other statutory delegates The people want Asiwaju and I have no doubt in my mind that by the special grace of God, Asiwaju will win the APC Presidential Primary and go on to win the general election," Faleke, who represents Tinubu’s Constituency, Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, said.
Speaking after the submission, Honourable Faleke said the response of the people and party members across the federation have shown that Tinubu is the leading contender for the party ticket and eventual winner of the election.
