History was recorded in Adamawa State as Senator Aishatu Binani Wins the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket for the 2023 general elections.
Senator Binani defeated political heavyweights on her way to achieve the historic feat.
They include former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu; and former Governor of the state, Bindo.
She scored a total of 430 votes to become the first female Governorship candidate of any of the two major political parties for the 2023 general elections.
