There was stalemate in the primary election to determine who picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Apapa State Constituency 2, reports thegazellenews.com.
Incumbent member of the House, Honourable Wahab Olumuyiwa Jimoh and main rival, Lawal A Musbau were tied 12 delegates votes each. Twenty five delegates were accredited for the primary election but there was a controversy over the 25th voter where two delegates were laying claim to the same delegate name.
The Returning Officer and former House of Representatives member, Honourable Hakeem Abiodun Muniru subsequently disqualified the two and declared the election inconclusive.
He has since submitted his report to the state secretariat of the party where the leadership will arrange new date for a rerun.
Three other aspirants: Owoseni-Badiah O., Mutiu Olakunle and Mafo Omojowo contested the primary election but scored zero vote.
