It was jubilation galore in the camps of two grassroots politicians in the Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency as they won the primary elections in their respective contests, reports thegazellenews.com.
Incumbent Lagos State House of Assembly member for Lagos Mainland State Constituency 2, Honourable Moshood Olanrewaju Oshun’s desire to move upward to the federal level received a major boost as he won the primary election conducted to pick the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket.
Similarly, former General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Engineer Rasheed Adebola Shabi succeeded in his aspiration of picking the party’s ticket by coasting to victory at the primary election which took place on Friday, 27 May, 2022.
At the Akinwunmi Sports Centre in Yaba, Lanre Oshun scored 51 delegate votes out of the 52 accredited delegates with one delegate vote voided.
For Engineer Shabi, it was a keenly contested primary election as he scored 11 delegate votes to defeat his opponent, Adetayo Oyemade who eight votes.
