The Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Honourable Wahab Alawiye-King has described the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila; and the state Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu as worthy sons of Lagos who have contributed in no small measure to the development and growth of the state.
Alawiye-King stated this on Saturday, 25 June, 2022 via a press statement he issued to congratulate both Gbajabiamila and Sanwo-olu on their birthday celebrations which come up today, Saturday, 25 June, 2022.
While the House of Representatives Speaker is celebrating his 60th birthday, Sanwo-olu clocks 57 same day.
“They are worthy sons of Lagos who both have contributed immeasurably to the development and growth of the state. They deserve all the accolades and best wishes,” he said.
The LASUBEB Chairman stated that since his assumption of office as Speaker of the country’s Lower Legislative Chamber, Rt Hon Gbajabiamila has worked tirelessly not only for the development of Lagos but also for the unity and progress of the country.
“The achievements of the Sanwo-olu administration have become benchmark for other states to emulate,” Alawiye-King said.
The LASUBEB Chairman also commended Gbajabiamila and Sanwo-olu for their remarkable roles in ensuring that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged the Presidential Candidate of the party during the party’s primary election which took place in Abuja.
“It is on record that while Governor Sanwo-olu was in the forefront of mobilisation of his colleagues, the Rt Hon Speaker led from the front in the National Assembly and Abuja making us triumphant in the end. Kudos to these worthy Ambassadors of Lagis.
“I wish Rt Hon Gbajabiamila and His Excellency Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu happy birthday celebrations. I pray God give them long, healthy life in the service of their families, the state and the country in general,” Alawiye-King said.
