The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikeja Local Government, Alhaji Adekunle Dally- Adeokun has joined millions of Nigerians to mourn the demise of party Leader in the area and Lagos GAC member, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson.
Alhaji Adedokun disclosed that condolence register has been opened in honour of the late politician.
Among those who signed the condolence register were top stakeholders, and Ikeja APC party Leaders, including the Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Engr Mojeed Alabi Balogun.
The Council Chairman described late Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson as a strong and viable politician in Nigeria.
“Yeye Kemi Nelson is a pillar to many politicians in Ikeja. Her passion for women and youth development is beyond human expression. She will be greatly remembered for her good deeds by so many. She touched lives of so many in different instances. It is a big loss to Ikeja progressive family,” Engr. Mojeed Balogun said.
Consequently, other party members and loyalists including women leaders and women wing of Ikeja APC signed the condolence register in honour of deceased.
The late Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson was former Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Lagos State, former Lagos APC Women Leader, and former Southwest APC Women Leader.
