In an effort to canvass support for Tinubu/Shettima ahead of February Presidential Election, the Secretary of the Support Group Directorate for North Central, Tosin Adeyanju, has met with traditional leaders of tribal heads in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Tosin Adeyanju, who visited the Traditional Rulers’ Council on Saturday, 21 January, 2023, said traditional rulers, who are the closest institutions to the people, play an important role in the growth of the country.
He explained that Tinubu has all it takes to be a good President having consulted widely, traversed the length and breadth of the country and became familiar with all the challenges confronting the country.
“I am here to seek your support and prayers for our Principals. The traditional institution is the closest to the people. The influence and control you exercise in your different domains are very important.
“Tinubu and Shettima have served as Governor and senator; within this period, it has been a great fortune having been exposed to governance.
“Their experiences will be useful in governance, especially in solving our nation’s challenges,” he said.
Responding, Chairman of Forum of Heads of Tribal Communities in FCT, Koshemani Ahmed, said that traditional rulers would be greatly involved in who becomes the next president of Nigeria.
“Let us assure you of our support to making Nigeria better through Tinubu/Shettima. He’s in our prayers.
“We are going to use our traditional approaches to ensure that Tinubu is elected into power come February; we wish you well in your aspiration,” he said.
