The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has called on Lagosians to perform their civic duty without fear.
Princess Adefulire made this call on Saturday, 18 March, 2023 after casting her vote in Egbeda area of Lagos State during the Governorship and state Assembly Elections.
The Presidential Aide also expressed optimism that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be re-elected for another four year tenure noting that the Governor has done remarkably well in his first term.
“The election is going on smoothly and peacefully and I want to call on our people to come out and perform their civic duty. Security agents are on ground hence the people need not entertain any fear in coming out to perform their civic duty,” she said.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire also expressed high optimism that Governor Sanwo-Olu would be re-elected and other candidates of the APC will win.
“The Governor has done remarkably well in his first term and I’m highly optimistic that he will win. He will be re-elected to continue the good work. Our people love good governance and certainly Governor Sanwo-Olu has provided that in the last four years,” she said
The former Deputy Governor of Lagos State also expressed optimism that APC candidates will triumph in the elections.
“APC is the people’s party and we’ve shown over the years that our party has the interst of the people at heart. By the special grace of God, we will this election,” she said.
