Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has vowed that with the improvement in the electoral process by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the ongoing Governorship and State Assembly Elections, he will accept the outcome of the election.
The Governor, who is seeking reelection for second term on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made the vow during a chat newsmen won Saturday, 18 March, 2023 after casting his vote at Bakin Dutse Polling Unit 008, in Yelwan Duguri, Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.
According to the Governor, the process so far had not been only peaceful but also an improvement over what obtained during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections on Saturday, 25 February, 2023.
“Everything appears to be peaceful. People are looking so joyous and exhilarated and I feel that this is the kind of situation we need all over the country; people exercising their universal suffrage without any hindrance, acrimony or conflict. We’re very grateful to God.
“I am willing to accept the outcome and we’re willing to do everything, as a state, to make sure that the election is peaceful and the outcome, by the grace of God, is acceptable,” said Governor Mohammed, who was in the company of his wife, Lami.
