Nigerian-born UFC fighter, Israel Adesanya has described his victory over Alex Pereira as a sweet revenge.
Pereira had before the latest match defeated 33-year-old Adesanya in a shocking fifth round technical knockout win inside Madison Square Garden.
One fierce punch from the Nigerian-born had knocked out Pereira’s lights and handed the UFC middleweight title belt back to Adesanya on Sunday, 9 April, 2023, handed the belt back to the Nigerian.
Speaking after the fight, the UFC fighter said the hunter had become the hunted.
In a post fight interview, the Nigerian-born said: “This is a sweet sweet victory and you know I have a sweet tooth. The hunter is now the hunted.”
