The corpse was reportedly found on Thursday, 4 May, 2023, along Ojoku road in Ago-Oja axis after frantic efforts to locate and rescue her and had since been buried according to Islamic rite.
The community leader of Ago-Oja, Baale Daudu Salaudeen Arolu, told the online medium in a telephone chat on Thursday, 4 May, 2023.
The latest part payment of N6 million demanded by the kidnappers was allegedly delivered before the discovery of the nursing mother’s corpse in the early hours of Thursday, 4 May, 2023, in Ago-Oja axis.
The kidnappers had Friday, 28 April, 2023, directed the family of the deceased nursing mother to bring the ransom for her release to Eiyenkorin town and later to Ogbomoso, but could not be located.
Kehinde Jibril was abducted two days to the Eid-il-Fitr celebrations at her husband’s residence in Ago-Oja town.
The kidnappers initially targeted her husband, said to be a cattle dealer, but he was not at home, hence they abducted the wife but abandoned her four month old child with the elder siblings.
Another victim abducted alongside Kehinde Ikeanabi on the same day in the town, Oriyomi Babatunde, said to be a student of Kwara state Polytechnic, Ilorin, was also injured during the abduction and later died in the hospital.
