The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has described the appointments of Rt Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila and Senator George Akume as Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Government of the Federation as putting the round pegs in the holes.
In her message congratulating the duo on their new appointments, Princess Orelope-Adefulire said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his characteristics manner, has shown commitment to competence, experience and diligence in his choice of personnel to work with him.
“Both Rt Hon Gbajabiamila and Senator Akume have history of competence and performance in previous assignments.
“Gbajabiamila excelled as a proven Lawmaker at the national level serving as Minority Whip, Minority Leader, Majority Leader and Speaker of the House of Representatives. There is no doubt about his experience, competence and diligence.
“Senator Akume was two-term Governor of Benue State, was an outstanding Senator and a Minister. He has experience in the executive and legislative arms of government.
“Again, our President has lived up to his high billings: putting round pegs in round holes,” she said.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire expressed confidence in the ability of both Gbajabiamila and Akume to contribute massively to the development and growth of the country.
