Osun State Police Command has confirmed that a nursing mother, identified as Iyawo Ori-Ade, has died as a result of injuries she sustained in an accident when a private car rammed into the commercial motorcycle conveying her on Friday, 30 July 2023.
The Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola also confirmed the accident, saying: “The passenger died in the hospital she was rushed to for treatment. Her corpse has been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy.”
According to information obtained by an online news medium, the woman died on Saturday, I July, 2023 and as a result of her death, her Agunbelewo area residents have been thrown into mourning mood.
The news medium gathered that Iyawo Ori-Ade was on a commercial motorcycle to pay electricity bill around 3pm on Friday when a Toyota Camry car with Lagos registration number; KRD 930 HV, hit the commercial motorcycle.
“The car driver, Bello Ayodeji, was going to Okinni when he lost control of the car and crashed into the oncoming motorcycle.
“The woman and the rider sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital for treatment, where she eventually died,” an eyewitness, Sunkanmi Ayodele, told the news medium.
