Bayern Munich chiefs jetted into London on night of Thursday, 13 July, 2023 to try to sign Harry Kane.
The German giants sent a delegation to meet Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy in a central London hotel in the hope of landing the England captain.
Levy is prepared to offer Kane a post-playing role to keep him in north London, it has been claimed.
Bayern, who had wanted to do a £60million deal, believe Kane wants a move to Germany with only one year left on his deal.
Yet although Levy would listen to offers north of £100 million, he previously insisted to Real Madrid that the club’s star player is not for sale.
Kane is set to be on the plane to Australia today for the start of Spurs’ pre-season tour with the team facing West Ham in Perth on Tuesday.
The striker is out of contract at the end of this season and it has been reported in Germany that Bayern made a bid last week.
Spurs denied a bid had been received and are still not entertaining the thought of their prized asset leaving this summer.
He is currently on a basic wage of £200,000-a-week although that increases to up to £300,000-a-week with bonuses.
Yet Bayern have the cash to comfortably beat that amount and Spurs have a new deal ready to go if Kane wants to sign it.
Manager Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of Kane and tried to sign him two years ago when Chelsea boss.
