The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs and Strategy, Office of the First Lady, Honourable Wahab Alawiye-King has described the appointment of the Secretary of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Alhaji Mutiu Are into the Board of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) as a confirmation of his invaluable contributions to governance.
Alawiye-King stated this in a message he released on Thursday, 20 July, 2023 to congratulate Alhaji Are on his appointment.
“You’ve been an invaluable member of our great party, state and Nigeria. Your contributions in spheres have contributed to the growth and development of the party, our dear state and country.
“We’re all aware of the role you played as the South West Director for Contact and Mobilisation for the APC Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) before, during and after the election which contributed massively to the well deserved victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of APC at the election.
“This appointment, therefore, is a confirmation that we, include Mr President, hold you in high esteem and are aware of your invaluable contributions to governance,” Alawiye-King said.
He stated further that the appointment was a well deserved one for the GAC Secretary noting that just as Mr President does, “we all have no doubt in your ability to deliver.
“I congratulate you on this great achievement and I pray to God to guide, guard and be with you in this new assignment”.
