Tragedy occurred in Malam-Madori Local Government Area in Jigawa State as armed robbers killed two sons of a police officer, just as they also injured his wife.
The trigger happy gunmen also invaded the house of former Chairman of the state Consumer Protection Agency, Faroq Abdullahi and took away over N1 million
It was gathered that the gunmen numbering about 20 on Wednesday, 2 August, 2023 invaded the area at about 2:00 am, entered houses and started robbing residents.
“They entered the house of former Chairman of Jigawa State Consumer Protection Agency, Faroq Abdullahi and took away over N1 million from his house.
“They then moved to the house of one police officer who is working at Zamfara police command and shot his children and wife.”
“Two of his sons died on the spot and his wife sustained a degree of injuries on her arm and chest and was rushed to the hospital,” one resident was quoted to have said.
The State Police Spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident, saying police received a report that there was armed robbery at Maman Biyu house located at Abuja quarters in Malam-Madori local government.
According to Adam, the incident happened on Wednesday, 2 August, 2023, after the hoodlums invaded the house of Maman Biyu and killed two of his sons: Rochard Amos and Cyril Amos and injured the mother.
He added that the corpses and victim were taken to Hadejia General Hospital and the two sons were confirmed dead by medical doctor.
