Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has commended the Embassy of Qatar and the Qatari-owned Sanabil project for their plan to build extensive housing estate with 500,000 units in the state.
The planned building of the monumental structure, according to Sani, is aimed at uplifting the lives of the state’s vulnerable and underserved population.
The governor made the commendation during the groundbreaking ceremony at Millennium City.
According to the Governor, “The Economic City will establish world-class infrastructure, positioning Kaduna as a benchmark for contemporary affordable living. It will offer a secure environment and a conducive atmosphere for thriving business activities.”
The Governor, who stated this through a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Shehu Lawal, said that the city would facilitate global trade and simultaneously serve as a nurturing platform for local entrepreneurs and traders.
Within this dynamic economic city, provisions will be made for the less privileged, encompassing residences for the disadvantaged, clinics, shops, poultry farms, and farmlands catering to both rainy season and irrigation agriculture, ” governor Sani said.
He explained that the housing project held profound significance, contributing substantially to the provision of shelter for the poor, underserved and vulnerable communities of Kaduna State.
Responding, Qatari Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Ali Bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, commended the governor for his support and cooperation towards the success of the project.
