Award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid has expressed deep pain at the passing of his mother saying it hurts him and his siblings deeply.
He made this known in an emotional speech, he shared at his mother’s wake-keeping service held on 12 October 2023.
WizKid, alongside his sisters and other family members, organized a lavish funeral service in honor of their late mother. The event drew in a notable crowd of friends and colleagues, creating a significant turnout to pay their respects.
“The pain is profound. It hurts deeply. The deepest pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I’m lost but I pray God will comfort everyone of us,” he said.
The Singer continued by extending his gratitude to all those who graced the ceremony with their presence. He also commended his family members for standing together in unity during this somber period.
It would be recalled that Juliana Balogun nee Oshineye Dawodu Olowosago died on August 18.
He was presently in Lagos Nigeria to bury his mother. The candlelight procession and wake-keep was held on Wednesday, 11 October, 2023.
