The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has described the death of former Special Adviser on Housing in Lagos, Honourable Jimoh Ajao, as great and sad loss to not only the All Progressives Congress (APC) but also to the Progressives family in particular.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire disclosed this on Saturday, 21 October, 2023, while reacting to the demise of the former Chairman of Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area via a press statement released to the media.
The late Ajao died early Saturday, 21 October, 2023 at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), after a brief illness.
“The news came to me as a great shock. It was indeed a sad and great loss to our great party and the entire Progressive family,” Princess Orelope-Adefulire said.
She described the deceased as a true democrat, a man of peace and a consumate politician who served the state creditably and commendably in all assignments he was given.
“He was a man of peace, a true democrat and a consumate politician. He can never be found wanting in any assignment given to him. The news of his death is still a shock to me,” the SSAP SDGs said.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire prayed that God gives his family, the APC, the Progressive family and friends the fortitude to bear the great loss.
“We can’t query God. He alone knows why Honourable Ajao has to leave us at this moment but we took solace in his impactful life and I pray that Almighty God gives him eternal rest,” she said
