The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON has said that the Federal Government is prioritising Universal Health Coverage (UHC) which will frontally address the nation’s healthcare challenges.
She stated this during a courtesy visit by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof Mohammed Ali Pate and a team from the Susan Buffet Foundation.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu said transforming the county’s healthcare system to make it accessible and beneficial to every Nigerian is part of President Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Nigeria is Africa, with a lot of Human Resources, and my husband has a good eye for working with talented people and I am excited for the new team in his cabinet as we are hoping to turn this country around”
The First Lady said further that Nigeria is open to collaborating well meaning organisations.
The Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof Mohammad Ali Pate expressed gratitude to the First Lady for attending the flag-off ceremony of the Human Papiloma Virus Vaccine the previous day.
Prof Ali Pate said her presence at the ceremony shows the commitment of the federal government to ensuring and safeguarding the lives of girls and women in the country.
“The health and well being of our people is central to what this administration is doing, the advancement of health of girls and women is the future of this country”
The Susan Buffett Foundation, inspired by the Renewed Hope Agenda, will collborate with the Federal Government towards ensuring the administrations agenda is accomplished.
