One of the leading private Universities in Ghana has honoured the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The Governor was conferred with a honorary Doctorate Degree at the Institution’s 30th Congregation Ceremony that took place on Sunday, 17 December, 2023 at the University Campus located at Dodowa of the Greater Accra Region.
The Chancellor, pr. Prof. Robert Osei-Bonsu expressed special appreciation to the vision of the founding mission of the University. He said Valley View University was established in 1997 and since then the school has not derailed from upholding the quality and mission of the founders.
He said because of the quality of the school, the government of Ghana in 2006 granted the school autonomy to stand on its own.
He congratulated all the graduands for scaling through the academic and moral learning which many described as very hard because of the level of discipline which has become the hallmark of the School.
The Chancellor also congratulated Osun State Governor, Sen. Ademola Adeleke who was receiving Honourary Doctorate Degree. He said the reason is because of the good works the Governor was doing in his state.
Gov. Adeleke in his acceptance speech appreciated the management of the School for the honour done him. He said the honour will rather be a challenge for him to do more for the good people of Osun state.
The Governor who many commended for his people oriented programmes emphasised that his government will ensure a zero tolerance to corruption. Many Osun sons and daughters in Ghana were present at the event to give the governor support for the honour.
A presidential candidate for Ghana’s 2024, Hon. Kennedy Adjapong assured that, if elected the President, he will give education a top priority. He said Ghana education has witnessed a fall in recent time but that will be improved if he becomes the President of the Republic.
Gov. Adeleke was accompanied by a foremost African media Guru, Bashorun Dele Momodu, his Chief Press Secretary and a few others.
