Former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Victor Akande is seriously ill, thegazellenews.com can exclusively revealed.
This medium learnt exclusively that the former Lawmaker has been seriously ill for more than one month and there are plans to fly him abroad for proper medical care.
But thegazellenews.com learnt that he is not being flown abroad because of his unstable state. “For now, he needs to be stabilize before we can fly him abroad. In his present state, it’s not healthy for him to fly long distance,” sources told this medium.
Sources told thegazellenews.com that shortly after his exit from the Assembly, Akande was flown abroad where he had a successfully heart surgery.
The nature of his present illness is not known to thegazellenews.com as at the time of writing this report.
This medium learnt further that the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa had already sent a delegation led by Honourable Desmond Elliot to visit the ailing ex-Lawmaker.
Akande who represented Ojo State Constituency I in the Assembly for two terms: 8th and 9th Assembly, was one of the strongest allies of the Speaker in the House.
He was member of the Assembly between 2015 and 2023 and was the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Petitions, Human Rights, Judiciary and LASIEC in the 9th Assembly.
