Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, the spiritual leader of the Inri Evangelical Spiritual Home, alongside other ministers of God, has laid the foundation for the construction of the church’s parish in Mowo, Badagry.
It is said that several believers in the border town have unrelentingly requested that a parish of the church should be cited in their community.
“They have seen the man of God do great things while encouraging their faith in our saviour, Jesus Christ, and it was for that reason they asked for a place of worship and convergence. The purpose of this for them is to establish a close connection with God,” said one of the church leaders who preferred anonymity because he was not authorised to speak.
He added, “Our church, IESH, has consistently held ministrations and deliverance programmes in Mowo and in other parts of Badagry. Through the programmes, many residents and others outside of the town have had life-changing encounters with Jesus Christ and, at the same time, have seen God wrought miracles by the hands of his anointed, Primate Ayodele.”
Prior to the foundation laying ceremony, the church held the “Good Friday Special Vigil” at the Badagry beach, which the source said “drew hundreds of thousands of worshippers from both Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.”
The church, apart from its spiritual activities, is known for its charities including providing reliefs to the needy and economic empowerment activities.
