The National Assembly Service Commission has commended the Lagos Sate House of Assembly Service Commission over its capacity building enhancement packages for its staffers.
The Chairman, Hakeem Olabode Akamo in his speech expressed this during a zonal visit to the Lagos State House of Assembly Service Commission (LAHASCOM).
He stressed the visit was aimed at strengthening ties, fostering collaboration and commending the good work of Lagos State House of Assembly under the Leadership of the Speaker, Rt.Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa and also Lagos State House of Assembly Service Commission Chairman.
“The purpose of our visit is to Interact with LAHASCOM on the activities, its operations and to render support for maximum effectiveness,” he said
He emphasized the pivotal role of rendering support to enable LAHASCOM carry out its functions effectively, the continual sustenance of LAHASCOM and the upholding of its ideas and duties in strengthening democracy in Nigeria. “I commend your impact in terms of mentorship, grooming and in house training,” he said.
The Chairman of LAHASCOM, Otunba Richard Akin Oshungboye in his remark to the Chairman and his team said, “We have always looked forward to having you and we are pleased to meet you. We have always looked forward to the National Assembly Service Commission for deliberation and as an arrow which was inaugurated in 2001 and we were inaugurated in 2013. We hope to learn from you and apply the knowledge gained in our future endeavors.
“I followed with rapt attention the speech of the Chairman and I am extremely happy, reason been that the initiative of the Governor of Lagos State then, LAHASCOM was inaugurated 12 years after the National Assembly Commission was inaugurated.
“We have always had a symbiotic relationship with other Assembly Service Commissions. Going forward as we begin to learn from you again because it is whatever we learn from you that we will share with other commissions”.
Also present at the zonal visit were the other commission members: Hon. Kabir Lawal, Hon. Taiwo Adio, Alhaji Adekunle Alidu; Mrs Martins Malik, Head Admin & Human Resources and other directors.
