A group under the aegis of Solution Marshals has concluded its one-day inspection and monitoring of some ongoing and completed projects in parts of Anambra State with commendation for the governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
The leader and national Coordinator of the group Comrade Osita Obi while addressing journalists at the end of the tour, at the Okpoko General hospital, Ogbaru Council area of the State, near Onitsha canvassed for the re-election of Anambra State Gov Soludo, in the coming 2025 gubernatorial election, “as a reward for his remarkable achievement within the two years of his stay in office.”
According to Comrade Obi, his group embarked on the projects inspection tour to ongoing/completed projects of the Prof Soludo administration to assess the level of work done so far.
Among inspected projects inspected by the group included the ongoing construction of the Ekwulobia (Aguata Council Area)flyover, the Ekwulobia General Hospital, the rehabilitated Okpoko slum, and the Okpoko General Hospital, amongst others.
Obi expressed satisfaction with what they saw, in relation with the claims of the government about completed and progressing projects. That the opportunity availed the people to see how the taxes they pay were being utilized.
Hear him, “Okpoko is one of the biggest slums in the West Africa region, which influenced the choice of this visit to see things for ourselves.
In the opinion of the group, Mr Obi stated, Prof Soludo has done tremendously well and deserves support from the people to achieve his developmental agenda for the state this tenure and that of 2025.
That part of the tour was aimed at assessing the incumbent state administration from a private citizens’ angle and then urge the electorates to make informed decision why they should massively reelect Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the 2025 governorship election in the state.
Comrade Obi also highlighted that “the Anambra government is gradually ending the era of schools without teachers with the employment of 5,000 teachers in its first phase of recruitment.
“The government has revived healthcare system such that pregnant women receive free antenatal and give birth free of charge in the state.
“The empowerment of 5,000 youths through ‘one youth-two-skills’ initiative with grants for start-up has eliminated crime and hard drug intake by youths of the state..”
The Solution Marshals Coordinator also commended journalists for their continued support in projecting the activities of Soludo administration.
Other participants including the Secretary General of the group, Comrade Emmanuel Oramalu, pointed out, “What we are saying is that Soludo is working. This is the first time in the history of politics in Nigeria that a first-time governor deliberately delivered dividends of democracy to the people without thinking about the next election.
“From his first day in office, he showed the people that he came to work for them. Through Soludo, the story of Okpoko in the Ogbaru council area has changed. He has transformed Okpoko, and today there are hospitals, schools, roads, and even water to drink in the area that has been abandoned for decades.
He therefore called on the people to support the governor’s second-term ambition to enable him to actualise his vision of making Anambra a livable and prosperous state in Nigeria.
