A man named Muftau Adefalu, have been arrested by the operatives of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing his ex-wife Yetunde Olayiwole during a fight in Sango-Ota area of the state.
The incident occurred at about 8:00 pm on Friday, 1 November, 2024.
The 37-year-old suspect, it was gathered was said to have had a misunderstanding Olayiwole which resulted in the fight.
The Command Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident to an online platform on Saturday, 2 November, 2024.
According to Odutola, the victim slumped during the fight and was confirmed dead at the hospital she was taken to, just as she also disclosed that the suspect had since been arrested and detained.
“Yes, 37-year-old Muftau Adefalu and his ex-wife Yetunde Olayiwole have had a misunderstanding which resulted in a fight.
“Olayiwole slumped during the fight and was confirmed dead at the hospital she was taken to.”
Odutola added that an investigation was ongoing to unravel the full details surrounding her death.
