The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited(NNPCL), Mele Kyari, has disclosed that the 125,000 barrels per day Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Company (WRPC) has commenced operations, thegazellenews.com reports.
Kyari made this disclosure during a tour at the facility on Monday, 30 December, 2024.
Thegazellenews.com recalls that the latest development is coming a month after the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt refinery situated in Rivers State.
Addressing the team during the tour of the facility began on Monday, Kyari said, “This plant is running. Although it is not 100 per cent complete, we are still in the process.
“Many people think these things are not real. They think real things are not possible in this country. We want you to see that this is real.”
