Expectedly, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, dominated the nominees for the League Bloggers Award (LBA) for the month of December.
Organisers of the monthly award released the list of nominated players and coaches for the month, with 3SC having three players in contention for the player of the month award, while coach Gbenga Ogunbote got nominated for the best coach award.
Desmomd Ojietefian, who played all the 19 matches of the first round, goalkeeper Mustapha Lawal, who kept nine clean sheet, Ikouwem Utin, who scored the team’s only goal in the away win over Rangers International, were nominated in the six man list for the best player of the month award.
The Shooting Stars trio will battle goalkeeper Lucky Abdulahi of Rangers, Ibrahim Shuabu of Remo Stars and Akwa United’s Chjioke Alakwe for the award.
In the coach of the month category, coach Gbenga Ogunbote, was nominated alongside Remo Stars’ Daniel Ogunmodede, Finidi George of Rivers United and Bendel Insurance’ gaffer, Greg Ikhenoba.
Oracle, as the 3SC tactician is fondly called, piloted the Oluyole Warriors to an amazing five consecutive victories with clean sheets, in the month of December.
