A notorious bandit leader, Na’ballo, an ally of Ado Aleiro terrorizing communities was killed during a clash with troops.
He was reportedly based in the eastern Takulawa, in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State from where he coordinated criminal activities.
A Lake Chad Basin counter-terrorism and insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, said Na’ballo met his end during an internal confrontation among bandit factions in the area.
In a separate incident on Monday, 20 January, 2025 suspected Fulani bandits launched an attack on motorists between Kucheri and Magazu villages.
The motorists narrowly escaped and alerted the military.
Acting on the intelligence, troops responded swiftly and neutralized the bandits in a coordinated operation, killing all eight attackers.
