The Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of the Senate, Dr Saviour Enyiekere has been appointed Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reports thegazellenews.com
He has been appointed for a five-year renewable term.
Until his appointment, Enyiekere, an environmental specialist, was the deputy chief of staff to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
A former Member of the House of Representatives from Osun State, Honourable Taiwo Oluga; and former Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State, Honourable Afeez Ipesa-Balogun were appointed members of the commission to represent the Southwest geo-political zone, thegazellenews.com reports further.
Other members of the Commission appointed by President Tinubu to represent the remaining five geo-political zones are:
NORTH WEST: Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi and Hon. Yusuf A. Yusuf Tabuka
NORTH EAST: Aminu Ibrahim Malle and
Alhaji Lawan Maina Mahmud
NORTH CENTRAL: Mark Hanmation Tersoo and Salihu Umar Agboola Balogun
SOUTH EAST: Hon. Dr. Nnanna Uzor Kalu and Festus Ifesinachi Odii
SOUTH SOUTH: Patrick A. Giwa and Mrs. Mary Ekpenyong
Like the chairperson, members of the Commission shall hold office for a renewable term of five years.
