With the announcement that the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has tested positive to Coronavirus, the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria has risen to 90.
Nine new cases were reported on Saturday, 28 March, 2020: seven in Lagos, one each in Benue and Kaduna.
Benue and Kaduna are just making entry into the list of states that have recorded people who tested positive to the virus.
While the Governor was the victim in Kaduna, the victim in Benue was a returnee from the United Kingdom.
Of the 90 confirmed cases, 59 are from Lagos alone while 14 are from the the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
