Seventeen new cases of coronavirus were confirmed on Friday, 10 April, 2020 by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), with both Niger and Anambra states recoding their maiden cases of the virus infection, The Gazelle News.com reports.
The confirmation was unveiled on the verified twitter handle of the centre in its update at 9.30pm.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria to 305.
Of the 17 new cases, eight were from Lagos, three in Katsina, two in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and one each in Niger, Kaduna, Anambra and Ondo.
Wirh seven more patients discharged in Lagos on Friday, the total number of discharged patients has risen to 58.
The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Lagos thus rose to 163, FCT now has 56 cases, Osun remains at 20, Edo, 12, Oyo 11, Ogun 7, Kaduna and Bauchi 6 each.
