The Lagos4Lagos mantra has been described as an expression that captures the aspirations of everyone living in Lagos, either as an indigene or a non-indigene.
Lagos4Lagos project, an initiative of the Lead Visioner of Team Jandor, Mr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, has been receiving wide acceptance from far and wide, including endorsement from groups spread across the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development areas.
Jandor, as he is popularly called, on Sunday, 4 October, 2020 cleared the air on the misconception and the mischievous false propagation of the ‘Lagos4Lagos’ mantra.
Speaking through his official Instagram handle, @officialjandor, he wrote: “Lagos4lagos mantra simply means a Lagos that must work for all of us and not a few…and this is clearly evident in the uneven spread of developmental projects across the state”.
According to him, the newly developed tactics of deliberate falsehood aimed at breaking the hugely growing movement is dead on arrival.
The statement read in part:
“Day in, day out…our people remain resolute and our growth continues rapidly, even in the face of intimidations and persecutions across all LGs”.
“If only they could be more creative, this attempt is poor and weightless.
“So, our Lagos4lagos depicts a Lagos that works for all who live, work and pay taxes in Lagos, indigenes and non-indegenes inclusive; and not a privileged handful as we currently have”.
Team Jandor, promoters of the Lagos4Lagos movement, had on October 1 celebrated the first year anniversary of Liberty Place, the group’s headquarters and state secretariat, located in Ikeja, with special prayers for Lagos State and Nigeria.
