The registration exercise for this year edition of Olori Hadijat Female Memorial Cup is on and will end at the end of the January 2021, reports The Gazelle News.com.
The competition which kick off officially on Saturday, 13 February, 2021 is organised annually to celebrate late Olori Hadijat Gbadamosi, first wife of the Onigando of Igando, His Royal Majesty Oba Lasisi Gbadamosi who passed away 10years ago on February 14th.
The competition was designed to celebrate her every year.
The last edition was won by Aseyori Queens of Owode Idiroko which defeated Nakamura Female Football of Mushin.
This year edition will be better than the last one in time of organization: certified referees and assistant referred will be on ground.
The Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and one of the sons of the late Queen, Prince Gbadamosi Adebola Sulaiman has assured on a number of incentives for the participating teams.
“One of the incentives we’ve provided for the participating teams is free accommodation for teams outside Lagos,” Gbadamosi, Chairman of Prince GAS Global Sports Concept, said.
Apart from this, there will be cash prizes for finalists, jersies, trophies and medals to celebrate the 10th edition of the event.
The children of the late Olori Hadijat: Prince Tajudeen Gbadamosi, Princess Taibat Oshoja (UK based) and Hon Prince Adeyemi Dauda Gbadamosi have all assured on total support for this year’s event.
The competition is open to 16 teams only within and outside Lagos.
All the teams must adhere to Covid-19 guidelines and protocols.
Gbadamosi stated that registration is also on for the 3rd edition of Prince GAS Under-10 Cup.
