Efe Omorogbe certainly needs no introduction. He is the hugely respected and accomplished founder and CEO of Now Muzik, one of Nigeria’s most successful music management and record label company that has handled the career of some of the biggest names in the industry. The likes of Timi DakolO, Sunny Nneji, Tunde & Wunmi Obe (T.W.O) and Africa’s music legend, Tuface Idibia, are a few of the stars whose remarkable careers Now Muzik has handled. But, perhaps, the biggest job that has shot Omorogbe and his Now Muzik team to greater prominence is their management of Tubaba’s illustrious career.
The talent manager and creative entrepreneur who has worked in a wide variety of capacities for more than two decades is inching closer to his golden jubilee, friends and associates are planning to make the milestone memorable.
As part of the celebration of the golden jubilee,the creative entrepreneur will launch a new project, Connaisseur cruise and a documentary, A walk with the king,a chronicles of his work behind the scenes with 2Baba will also be released.
No doubt the graduate of University of Lagos, BA, English (Ed), has etched his name in the sands of time.
For the co-founder, Hypertek Digital/960 Music Group and founder, Buckwyld Media Network, a creative and production solutions company (Producers of “Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless”, “Power of 1”). He is also associate co-producer, All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA, the building of a world class support structure for effective rights protection and sustainable growth in the entertainment industry remains a passion.
His work in partnership with key industry leaders birthed Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) in 2010 and Omorogbe has served on the board as director for many years. He also served on the Nigerian Covid-19 Creative Industry Committee.
Efe Omorogbe’s name has featured a good number of times on the “most influential entertainment personalities in Nigeria” lists over the last fifteen years. Some of the recognition he has received include: Lifetime Achievement Award – SSMA (South South Music Awards) 2018; Unsung Hero of the Entertainment Industry- CVL (Centre for Values & Leadership) 2015; Culture Ambassador- NANTAP (National Association of Theatre Arts Practitioners) 2015; Manager of the Year – AMEN (Award for Musical Excellence in Nigeria) 2007.
