Polygamy in Africa isn’t easily accepted by the society especially among the Christian religious folks.
However, a small country located in the eastern part of Africa has shown support for polygamy as the nation’s government mandated every man to marry at least two wives.
The Eritrean government made the law recently, and it states that every man should marry at least two wives or risk going to jail.
This is because of the shortage of men in the country due to the casualty caused by their civil war against Ethiopia some years ago.
The law even states that any woman who tries to stop her husband from getting a second wife would also be jailed.
