Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has said Mohamed Salah is not a great striker in the mold of former Reds star, Fernando Torres, a Spaniard.
Carragher believes Salah reminds him of Torres, adding that the Egyptian international is not a great player.
Speaking about Salah on the Across the Park podcast, Carragher, former Liverpool defender, “He will end up with 25, close to 30. We judge Salah so highly. Yeah, the team is not playing well, so Salah isn’t going to be at his best.
“I have never believed Salah is a great player as such, he is a great goal scorer. He is very direct, and everything is about the goal, he runs to the goal, so at times, he can have games where – a little bit like Torres – where he can get the ball, and he runs into people and loses possession,” Carragher said.
Salah, has not be in great form this season but still managed to score 17 goals and provided seven assists in 31 games across all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s tutored side.
