By Mewhenu Hosu Among other things, the Nigeria’s educational philosophy envisions a kind of education which can make the citizens skillful, self-reliant and self-fulfilled. Sadly so, self-reliance seems driven far away from some of the citizens because they rise through a system of teaching which makes little conscious effort to create connection between learning and its utility. Utilitarian learning is alien to a system of education where dangling methodology prevails, and so, real-life application of the education acquired becomes ill-conceived and foggy. Dangling Methodology has been coined in this article to describe a kind of approach to teaching-learning which makes…

The misleading post stated that JANDOR referred to Chief Olabode George, a national leader of the party as a chronic liar in the course of the interview. This is obviously a hatchet job sponsored by those who are jittery by the rising profile of the PDP in the state and the mutual respect that exists between JANDOR and the…

Hard drugs are the chains that cripple freedom, the substance that splits the mind from the soul, the cord that ties sense with nonsense. Powerful is music. The ‘m’ in music appeals to the mind. Music cured King Saul and cursed the devils tormenting his soul, caging them into tranquillity. Music pulled down the Walls of Jericho. Music is the food of love, it is the sound of…
