The mother of Chief Executive Officer of Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation, Dr Abdullahi Shuaib, Hajiya Sefinat Shuaib is dead. The 80-year-old entrepreneur died in the early hours (around 1:15am) of Monday, 9 January, 2023 at the National Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi in Lagos due to age and comorbidity. A young mother-of-five has died allegedly after she was beaten by her husband over a loaf of bread. The deceased, identified as Ogochukwu Anene, from Umuokpu village in Awka, Anambra State, was married to one Mr Ndubisi Wilson Uwadiegwu from Enugu state and their union was blessed with four sons and a daughter. The Edo State Government has said that it is up-to-date with the payment of pension to retired workers and is currently expending one-third of its personnel cost on pension payments.
