A Lagos High Court today, Monday, 9 October, 2023, delivered judgment in the case of a police officer, Drambi Vandi, charged with shooting dead a Lagos-based lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem, on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022 in the Ajah area of Lagos. Justice Ibironke Harrison, the trial judge, in her ruling, convicted Vandi of a one-count charge of murder and thus sentenced him to death by hanging. Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), today, Sunday, 8 October, 2023, apprehended a driver over damaged truck barrier on Dorman-Long Bridge, Surulere area inwards Ikorodu road (Fadeyi). A statement released by the Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA, Mr Adebayo confirmed that the driver, Sarafa Oladiji, was apprehended after he forcefully drove his truck under the newly installed truck barrier on Dorman-Long Bridge.
