The Katsina State Police Command on Friday, 25 August, 2023 gave out cheques to families/next-of-kin of 22 police officers who died in active service. A total of N7.7 million in cheques was presented to the families in a solemn ceremony held at the Command Headquarters in Katsina, The cheques contained different amounts of money to families of deceased police officers . The Institute for Economics and Peace 2023 study has ranked Nigeria 144th in the 2023 Global Peace Index of the most peaceful countries in the world. The study, which measured a country’s level of negative peace using three domains of peacefulness, said Iceland came first as the most peaceful country in the world, Mauritius is ranked first in Africa, followed by Botswana and Sierra Leone.
